Committees

Activities - Organizes events to carry the message and promote unity.

Archives - Keeps a record of AA's history in the NEPA region. Maintains an archival room displaying our history in the office.

Bridging the Gap - Works with facilities and members to connect alcoholics in treatment to local members upon their discharge.

Central Office - Maintains the functioning of the office and store. Answers all requests for information. Responsible for the publication and maintenance of meeting lists and the oversight of its subcommittees: the Hotline, Letter, Newsletter, and Website. Staffs volunteers to work the store. Sells AAWS and Grapevine/Lavina literature, coins, meeting cards, hangings and other A.A. items. 

Corrections - Coordinates with correctional facilities in our area to set up and coordinate A.A. meetings. Supplies literature to inmates via the "jail can". Makes clearance forms available to the A.A. members for their local facility.  Helps make available things like corrections correspondence program, and the pre-release contact form to incarcerated alcohololics. 

Finance - Reviews financial information and provides a suggestions including a budget.

Hotline - Answering service staffed by volunteer members, ensuring when a call comes from someone looking for help, the hand of A.A is there to answer. 

Literature - Sells AAWS and Grapevine/LaVina books, pamphlets, local meeting lists, displays, coins, amongst other AAWS items. Sets up a table at local A.A. workshops and events.

Newsletter - Writes and publishes a quarterly newsletter for the local fellowship with A.A. News, events, happenings, and writings by local members.

Public Information - Handles public relations for our area, providing outreach when needed to the public. Cooperates with the professional community to make the greater community aware of the work AA is, what it does and what it does not do.

Treatment & Institutions  - Coordinates with local treatment facilities to set up carrying A.A. meetings into local facilities by local groups. Maintains a list of volunteers to help carry the message. Provides literature to patients when the facility does not through the "blue can".

Unity  - Helps promote unity within our area. Reaches out to new groups and lets them know of the services carried out by our local intergroup.

Website - Maintains the intergroup webpage. Posts events, announcements, new meetings and meeting changes.
