Soberstock was a success. There are a few things to work out to improve. Face Painter and Music were a big hit with everyone.

Treasurer: Frank B.

The updated Treasurer’s report is a part of the paperwork. A new column was added to show what is available excluding the prudent reserve. Soberstock was a great success. We are thinking about putting aside a separate reserve fund. Christine will be going to a conference, there is a coin order and a book order. So rather than stick to one number, we will put $1,000 in for now, and add to it as we go.

Joe asked what were the other expenses and Frank reiterated that the straggling receipts from Soberstock are still being handed in. 

Joe made a motion to have $2,000 in prudent reserve. He was instructed to bring that up during new business.

District 39: Ashley: Traditions Workshop in December; more details to follow. 

District 40: Charlie – There was an alcathon on Labor Day. There will be a Roller Skating Event on October 15th from 6 to 9pm. NYE event is in the works. 

District 49: Michelle - September 24th Group Celebration for Practice these Principles. 

District 52: Absent

District 53: Timmy– September 19th: Fellowship Breakfast at TNC Grill. GSR Service Workshop October 10th in Meshoppen. 

District 59: Steven - Picnic: Pavilion 3 in Montour Saturday from 11-4. NYE Alcathon on even hours. A flyer will be made up. 

District 62: Joel – Nothing to report at this time. 

Activities: Brittany

Soberstock was a great success, roughly 458 people were there. 50/50 total was $484. The raffle baskets brought in $890, however, $350 was used to pay the face painter.  Thank you notes passed out for everyone who donated raffle baskets. 

Halloween Dance is happening here at this location. Basket raffles, 50/50, and refreshments.

Bridging the Gap: Chris R

There is a great opportunity to bridge the gap between facilities and institutions with the AA groups. If your group is interested in service, please have them fill out the forms and bring them back to the next IGR meeting. 

Joe invites anyone from the broad and the District meetings, especially the October 10th Service workshop. 

Central Office: Charlie

Louis moved to the Literature Chair position. Hotline is always looking for volunteers. The office is no longer going to be monitoring the GroupMe. Treatment will still utilize the GroupMe. Central Office would like for you to go to the website and subscribe to alerts so you can be informed of any cancelled meeting or other announcements in a timely manner. Please submit events on the webpage. 

Literature: Louis - Literature had a table at Soberstock. They sold $425 in Literature at the event. Coin order was received. Book order is placed. 

Charlie: Also we have meeting booklets available. 

Christine reiterated that the Hotline needs volunteers. 

Corrections: Glenn 

Three individuals wanted infomation on how to get into various correctional facilities. If you were one of these people, please see Glenn after the meeting. 

Institutions: Rachel

If you asked for a blue can, please fill out this slip and take the can. If you are interested in being the director of the Treatment committee, there is a flyer you can take a picture of. There is a second flyer for how to sign into the GroupMe to pick up commitments. Also, when you go to the commitments, please use the binders that Jeremiah provided to all of the facilities. If the binder is misplaced when you are on a commitment, please let Jeremiah know so it can be replaced. There is a change to the Mountains Edge contact information.

Dorothy: What is the blue can for? Rachel: It is donations used to provide Big Books to people in facilities. 

Joe: Do treatment facilities allow the AA Big Book in the facilities. Rachel: Yes.

New Business

Dorothy: I have a member of my home group here with me who would like to volunteer for Public Information. BettyAnne introduced herself and explained that she had held the Public Information position in the 90s and she would like to do it again. 

A motion was made, seconded and BettyAnne is the new Public Information Committee person. 

Joe: Tunkhannock meeting is looking for speakers for Friday night meetings. St Pete’s Church on Route 6 at 8 PM. 

Please take the remaining vacant positions back to your home groups.
